What do you expect us to say!!Yes design is a cost but it is internatioanally ecognised that good design sells off the page andis a maxim that any good designer should follow. However in these days of credit crunch, recession, market pressures, competitors unfair practices etc it is easy to see marketing as a cost, like training, that can be trimmed. However this si a false economy and, if you are not telling your clients - old or new - about yourself, will you be found when we come out the other side!! I fear not and if you are will your credibility be damaged by old leaflets, outdated website or even no current promotional material.Good design services are not cheap but neither are they expensive if you find the right agency with which to work. We believe that there is always a need to establish the chemistry to work together and often find it appropriate to say no if there is not a win-win situation at a realistic cost for both parties! However even where clients decide on a price led decision invariably they come back to ask us to sort out a mess!Hopefully we will see support for our stance and approach but happy to debate and discuss appropriate strategies to increase or get new sales.
