Excellent

Owned by a Dutch man with another cafe in Ayr just above Hendersons. The Coffee Club in Kilmarnock is over two floors - ground and basement. The basement has a very low ceiling. A person of average height will feel it is tight but my husband is 6'6' so he needs to crawl on his hands and knees. Don't let this distract from a fabulous place to have a snack or meal. Meals are served downstairs. The curry has a nice kick, served with a fluffy baked tattie. Delicious. Can also recommend an old Scots favourite - Stovies. Upstairs you can grab yourself a good strong cup of coffee, can recommend the Continental coffee. Along with your coffee perhaps one of the traybakes or pastries? or for something more substantial how about a filled roll or bagel. Loads of filling plus fresh crisp salad. Everyone is welcome here - families, shoppers, pensioners.
